Swimmers are unsure about Laguna – Weil am Rhein

SSG increases membership fee / High demand for swimming lessons / Happy to use small pool.

(BZ). The swimming community (LSG) has an uncertain future. Board President Tobias Brodda made this clear at the general meeting. Given the energy crisis, it is uncertain if and how Laguna will be open. He announced that there will be another Christmas party.

As insurance, premiums and fees are likely to increase, the planned fee increase is necessary and justified. The association last increased contributions moderately in 2016.

The demand for swimming lessons is so great that waiting lists are full until the 2024/2025 academic year. One has even been created for 2026/2027. SSG prides itself on the quality of its courses. In 2021, he received the “SchwimmGut” certificate for the second time in a row. Only a few clubs in the region could claim that.

Water damage in the small pool adversely affected swimming lessons. Due to popular demand, the club introduced an additional group. The transition from the small pool to the Laguna courses was very successful this time. The water polo men play in the county league. The divers said they were very thankful that the small pool was available to them.

Choice: President Tobias Brodda, 2nd President Nike Bößwetter, Swimming Specialists Marcel Hausding and Carolyn Bahro, Technical Management Martin Bößwetter, Recreation and Seniors Specialist Thomas Göck, Water Polo Specialist Stefan Schwer (for Pio Reuter), Treasurer Maximilian Krause.
