The fascinating atmosphere in the first round of the National Football League in Germany made a strong impression on quarterback Tom Brady. “I’ve played at Wembley Stadium twice, I’ve played at Aztec Stadium in Mexico, but this was the best,” enthused the All-Time Player of the Year after Sunday’s 21:16 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

MUNICH – The fascinating atmosphere of the first round game of the National Football League in Germany left a strong impression on quarterback Tom Brady.

“I’ve played at Wembley Stadium twice, I’ve played at Aztec Stadium in Mexico, but this was the best,” enthused the All-Time Player of the Year after Sunday’s 21:16 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He considered the German fans’ song “epic”.

Teammate Julio Jones immediately announced that he wanted to return to Germany. “I liked it: That energy was amazing. We don’t get to play in front of a crowd like that very often,” enthused the wide receiver, who caught Brady’s punt and carried it into the end zone. “The first strike on German soil is mega,” Jones said. The game will remain in his memory forever.

However, Brady did not know if there would be a repeat on German soil. “Man, that’s a tough question, there’s probably a lot of people who would like to know the answer to that,” he said when asked if he would play in Germany again in the next few years.

In the next three years, Munich will share three more games of the main round of the National Football League with Frankfurt. League head coach Roger Goodell recently fueled rumors of further offers for Germany.

A second Brady appearance in front of German fans seems unlikely. Even if the veteran announced his lightning comeback in March just 40 days later, the career of the best football player in history is coming to an end. “I’ll take the Munich game for what it was, something very, very special, and I don’t know what the future holds,” the seven-time Superbowl winner said.
