Berlin – The Los Angeles Lakers have no chance of making the NBA playoffs after another loss around superstar LeBron James. The 17-time champions lost to the Phoenix Suns 110-121 without an injured James to snap their seventh straight loss.
Eleventh in the Western Conference, the Lakers can no longer make the playoffs with three games left to contend for the playoffs and are thus out of the postseason for the first time since 2019. James was out with an ankle injury and had to watch the Phoenix loss from the sidelines.
Wagner was injured on the field
After a six-game losing streak, the Wagner brothers got another win with the Orlando Magic. Moritz Wagner scored 15 points and had three rebounds and three assists in a 120-115 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. His younger brother Franz, who missed the previous game with an injury, had to leave the field after about seven minutes of play with an ankle sprain.
Without Dennis Schroeder, the bottom-of-the-west Houston Rockets lost 105-118 to the Brooklyn Nets.
