Nationals Maxie Kleber and the Dallas Mavericks are not gaining momentum in the NBA.
Despite top star Luka Doncic’s triple double, the Texans lost 111-117 to the Oklahoma City Thunder in overtime and suffered their third loss in the fifth game of the season.
With the Mavs up by eight points two minutes into regulation, Kleber (two points) didn’t have a great day, especially offensively. Wurzburger made just one of eight shots from the field and missed all six of his three-point attempts.
Doncic from Slovenia finished with 31 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists, but missed all six of his three-pointers. In OKC, Shai led Gilgeous-Alexander with 38 points. The Thunder, one of the worst teams in the league before the start of the season and one of the main contenders for French star Victor Venbanyama, are tied at 3-3 with the Mavericks.
Crisis mood in the Nets
Still without European Championship No. 3 Daniel Theis out with a knee injury, the Indiana Pacers won 125-116 at the Brooklyn Nets for their third win in seven games this season.
Brooklyn’s stellar ensemble surrounding Kevin Durant is in the deepest of crisis moods after their fifth loss in six games. “It was a disaster,” said head coach Steve Nash, a former Dallas teammate and friend of Dirk Nowitzki.
