Crailsheim (AP) – Bundesliga basketball club Syntainics MBC from Weissenfels has signed two new players after parting ways with leading scorer Lamont Jones. Americans Charles Callison and Mitchell Bullock are set to make their debuts at home to runners-up Bayern Munich on November 19 (6pm / Magentasport), the club announced on Friday.
Callison, a 1.85m guard, comes from Dutch side Donar Groningen and already played for Wurzburg Baskets in the BBL last season. Winger Bullock is playing in Europe for the first time. He played last season in the G-League, the NBA’s developmental league, for the Cleveland Charge. Both will be under contract until the end of the season, with Bullock having the option to leave the club in mid-January 2023.
MBC parted ways with point guard Jones on Saturday. The 32-year-old returned to Weissenfels in the summer and averaged 20.3 points per game. However, the American was also distinguished by a lack of discipline, which ultimately led to the separation. MBC is currently on the 14th place of the chart.
